Sometimes in picking out a good vitamin/mineral it can be overwhelming. I came across this pamphet, on How to Pick A Good Supplement, by Suzy Cohen, RPH  and I thought it beneficial  in sharing it with you.

 Suzy Cohen says
In picking out a great supplement:
  •   It must contain bio-available natural ingredients such as natural Methylfolate, not folic acid, or             methylcobalamin and not cyanocobalamin.
  •   It should not contain magnesium stearate or any of the "filthy five" ingredients. (see below)
  •  Buy from reputable brands. Not necessary big brands. Sometimes the less you spend, the less you  get. For example, I wouldn't brag about a  bottle of 1000 Fish Oils that costs $10...honestly, I'd be  very concerned that it was laden with mercury and other heavy  metals. How can any company churn  out supplements of any value and include a bottle, label, their team, shippig and 3rd party testing  and only charge you $10? That product probably not the best thing for you.
  •  Make sure they offer a guarantee so in case you're unhappy, and you can return it.

The filty 5 is listed below and to learn more about each one please download the short pamphlet explaining why to avoid the filthy 5. The main thing is to READ  LABELS.
